Learning Outside the Classroom

 

We specialise in  working with schools to deliver Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) .

We offer a fully mobile experience and can deliver all of our sessions in the safety of your school grounds or you can have your sessions in our privately owned woodland on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland.

We offer stand alone activities such as Forest School and Bush Craft sessions, Archery, Geo-Caching, Navigation (and can deliver the outdoor discovery awards), Team Building & Guided Walks, or these sessions can be tailored around the National Curriculum and can suit the needs of the learners and school. We also offer After School Clubs to give children a different experience and all of our sessions can be run outdoors all year round and with the present climate this is good for the children, teachers and staff and all of our sessions are focused around Health and Wellbeing.

We can tailor packages to suit the individual needs of your school and your pupils, we pride ourselves in been very inclusive for all of the pupils, allowing each individual to lean and achieve in the outdoor environment. We can also provide consultancy work and CPD days for teachers and support staff, if you have been running Forest School sessions and feel you need to brush up on your skills if they haven't been used for a while then we can help you get back on track and can offer support and advice. Intervention Work

​

With our back ground in youth and community work and challenging behaviour of all ages we are well equipped  to work with you and your pupils to try and get them back on track. We use the outdoors as a reengagement tool taking the children and young people from their normal class room setting and letting them experience learning in the outdoors.

 

We will work with you to develop a plan using various outdoor activities be it on your school site or in our private woodland setting away from any distractions where the pupils can engage with nature and re find themselves before slowly starting to engage them back into school and into the classroom. We are able to offer transport to and from venues and activities so you know the pupils are constantly safe at all times. The work we carry out can be for as long or as short as you need depending on the pupils needs.
